How to Ship Your Loved One's Ashes
IMPORTANT! Due to regulations regarding shipping of cremated remains, we only accept orders from and ship within the United States. The US Postal Services offers the only legal method of shipping cremated ashes. Your local post office can provide you with packaging that they have on hand specifically for shipping cremains. These packages are labeled as such and receive extra care and respect. We have never had the US Postal Service lose a package or damage a package, so you can ship loved one's ashes with confidence and peace of mind.
As soon as I receive your order, I will email you with our mailing address, packing instructions and the exact amount of the cremains that is needed for your jewelry selection. Generally, I need somewhere between 1/8 teaspoon and a full 1/2 teaspoon per Heaven Stone. I will let you know the amount, depending on the size of the piece the piece you have chosen. Please do not send more than the amount I ask for. Generally the full amount will be used.
For packing, I recommend placing the cremains in a little prescription pill bottle, such as the ones you get from the pharmacy. They are very strong, travel well and have nice tight lids. Please label the bottle with your name and the deceased one's name of course, then seal the little bottle in a zip lock baggy.
Although certainly not necessary, it is helpful for me to know whether the ashes are for a beloved pet or a human loved one, so that I refer to them correctly when I communicate with you. If you would like to share a photo of your dear one who has passed, I welcome seeing their pictures and keep the photos in front of me while I make their Heaven Stone.
When you ship your package, be sure to retain the tracking number. I will let you know as soon as your package arrives and will take very good care of your loved one's ashes while they are with me. They will be in loving hands.
